The Alumni Family Scholarship (AFS) program was established by the Council of Past Presidents in 1975 to help families of undergraduate alumni meet the cost of tuition and continue the tradition of an SCU education.
All children and grandchildren of undergraduate alumni of record applying to SCU who would like to be considered for an Alumni Family Scholarship should designate their legacy relationship on their admission application and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and CSS PROFILE forms. Once the necessary forms are completed the Alumni Association will automatically review each applicant for eligibility. No additional AFS application is necessary. Selection is not guaranteed.
The primary criterion for consideration is financial need. Academic accomplishments and extracurricular activities are also considered. Each award is renewable during the duration of the undergraduate’s stay at Santa Clara, provided recipients remains in good standing with the University.
