Los Angeles Aid Resources

Our hearts are with the Los Angeles community in the wake of this week’s devastating wildfires.

• In Our Hearts: The Los Angeles region is home to one of the largest SCU alumni communities in the country. Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers go out to the Broncos whose lives have been dramatically altered by the fires. Now and always, we are grateful to those who answer the call for assistance.
  
  
• A Helping Hand: If you're in the L.A. area and have been affected by the fires, ask the Bronco community on Switchboard for help. If you're near L.A. and in a position to provide local support—such as supplies or a safe place to stay for those without housing—Switchboard can help you connect with Broncos in need.
  
  
• Lend Support: No matter where you live, you can help those affected by the fires. In his email to the campus community, SCU Provost and EVP Jim Glaser suggested supporting the following organizations:
  
  • American Red Cross
  • The Salvation Army
  • The LA Regional Food Bank
  • The Los Angeles Diocese (The diocese has also provided a spreadsheet of other resources for impacted people.)
