What aspect of your fellowship has been most rewarding?
Before my fellowship at Veggielution, I viewed civic engagement solely as direct service work, but my experience completely redefined it as an act of making knowledge and resources accessible. Designing marketing clinics for local food entrepreneurs taught me that teaching someone how to navigate Canva, technology, or social media is a powerful form of community advocacy. By translating complex tools into approachable lesson plans, I saw firsthand how technical skills can empower underserved individuals to build their own futures. As I prepare to graduate and move to a new city, I am committed to maintaining an ongoing relationship with my community. I plan to dedicate my free time to volunteering with organizations that resonate with my values, utilizing my marketing and communication background to bridge resource gaps and amplify local voices.
