Jennifer (Jenn) Merritt Faria is an Assistant Teaching Professor. She is an educator with a deep passion for developing and supporting  community-engaged academic teams seeking human-centered solutions to pressing local and global challenges. She especially enjoys nurturing students’ interests in using their diverse skill sets, cultural perspectives, and personal/spiritual dispositions to promote positive social and environmental outcomes through effective team leadership and productive behavior in organizations. 

 

Shuqi Li received her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from Michigan State University. She was on the faculty at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University this past year. Her research is deeply rooted in the study of leadership, with a particular focus on how leaders and followers interact and influence each other. Shuqi will teach the new first-year Foundations of Leadership seminar and contribute to the new Leavey PLUS initiative in leadership. 

 

Vyas Sreenivas recently moved to Santa Clara after completing his PhD at Temple University. Before his academic journey, he worked as an early-stage investor in startups in the financial inclusion space. His research interests include new venture fundraising and social entrepreneurship. As a BLab Research Fellow, he also delves into how B Corp certification affects the fundraising success of ventures that choose to certify. In his free time, Vyas loves spending time with his four cats, discovering new coffee shops, and exploring bookstores.

 

Andrew McBride spent the last ten years in North Carolina, completing his undergraduate at UNC Greensboro and receiving his PhD in Organizational Science from UNC Charlotte. His primary areas of interest are leadership and identity, and he employs both quantitative and qualitative methods in his research. Andrew will also be a key principal contributor to the Leavey PLUS initiative and teach first-year LSB students the new Foundations of Leadership course.  Andrew is originally from New England, and in his spare time enjoys watching Boston sports teams, reading fiction, and spending time with friends.
