Scott Hickey '09

I graduated in December 2014 with my PhD in chemistry from UC Berkeley, where I studied riboswitch RNAs for antibiotic discovery in Dr. Ming Hammond's lab. I then moved to a postdoc at UCSF with Dr. Michael McManus studying noncoding RNAs in cancer. I recently accepted a position with Trace Genomics, a DNA sequencing startup company that was part of the Illumina Accelerator program, and is currently part of QB3 in Mission Bay. I'm living in San Francisco with my wife Kate, who also graduated from SCU class of '09 and works in PR at Salesforce.
