An Evening with a Sufi Sheikh

Sheikh speaks to students about Sufism, humane love, and interfaith harmony

On October 15, Religious Studies professors Daniel Morgan and Gaurika Mehta hosted the prominent Pakistani Sufi and interfaith activist Sahibzada Asim Maharvi. Maharvi spent about an hour introducing students to Sufism and answering their questions about Sufi ideas and practices.

Sahibzada Asim Maharvi is a contemporary Sufi teacher and global spiritual guide.  He is educated in international relations, mass communication, and interfaith harmony. He is an expert in cultural exchange and Sufi literature translation. He speaks at major international spiritual forums and is the author of several books and ongoing Sufi projects.
