Accessibility

From the Student Handbook (see page 16):

  • "The University is committed to providing individuals with disabilities, including (but not limited to) those with learning disabilities, ADHD, chronic health conditions, traumatic brain injuries, hearing impairments, physical disabilities, psychological disorders, visual impairments, and other health impairments, equal access to the academic courses, programs, activities, services, and employment opportunities, and strives in its policies and practices to provide for the full participation of disabled individuals in all aspects of University life."

Access Policy Statement on Advertising

The following statement about the Americans with Disabilities Act / Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (ADA/504) must be included in all advertising for an event, activity, or meeting:

  • "In compliance with the ADA/504, please direct your accommodation requests to [NAME] at [EMAIL ADDRESS OR PHONE]."

For [NAME] fill in the name of the primary student organizing this event, and for [EMAIL ADDRESS OR PHONE] fill in that student's email address or phone number.

Office of Accessible Education

The Office of Accessible Education ensures access for all qualified students with disabilities to all academic programs and University resources. Types of disabilities include medical, physical, psychological, attention-deficit, and learning disabilities. Reasonable accommodations are provided to minimize the effects of a student's disability and to maximize the potential for success.

The Office of Accessible Education is located in Benson Memorial Center, Room 1.
