Kate earned her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from SCU in 2006 and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2010. While working in private practice, Kate went on to become a certified psychoanalyst and also earned her Psy.D. in Psychology of Psychoanalysis from the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California. Kate also has an M.B.A. from Cornell University and a B.A. from Smith College. Kate teaches Psychology of Relationships and Counseling Process & Skills in the CPSY program and coordinates the training lab groups. In addition to her work in the CPSY program and her private practice, Kate volunteers for the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California as a Board Director and Candidate Advisor.
