Elmer Huh
Chief Investment Officer, M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust

Elmer Huh is Chief Investment Officer and leads the investment team at M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, and works with the Trustees in managing the Trust’s investment portfolio. Previously Huh held various financial advisory roles with EY, Barclays Capital, and Morgan Stanley. Huh graduated with honors from Columbia University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.S. in Industrial Engineering, and an M.B.A. in international finance. Huh has served on the board of many nonprofits and other organizations focused on strategy, sustainability, and leadership development.
Huh began working with the Ethics Center through participation in the Responsible AI VC Council (RAIVC) to help develop a framework to guide venture investment practices in responsible AI. RAIVC is part of the Center's Lucas Institute for Venture Ethics which focuses on studying and promoting applied venture ethics in venture capital.
Huh brings ideas and expertise in the areas of private equity, venture capital, portfolio management, M&A valuation, private company valuation, accounting & financial reporting issues, capital structure analysis, competitive analysis, and financing.
He and his wife, Esther, reside in Portland, OR and have three young-adult children.
