This is the Club Sports E-news, where each month, any of the teams can report what they have been up to. Not all Club Sports will report each month.

Hey SCU! Shotokan Karate is back at it, and has started practice. We are excited to be teaching our new members all of the karate basics while gearing up for our upcoming tournaments. If you’re curious about joining, reach out to jberry@scu.edu for more information.

Hey Broncos! Club Swim is back for another year, and we already have some big things planned! Our first intrasquad meet of the year is Saturday, October 18, followed by a meet at UC Davis on Saturday, October 25. We’re also gearing up for Regionals at UC Irvine next month, our biggest meet of the quarter. We have been working hard at practice the last couple of weeks, and can’t wait to start competing! WOMEN'S CLUB SPORTS

Hey Broncos! Women’s Lacrosse has been busy this month preparing for our upcoming season! Our most exciting bit of information to share is that we have decided to move to division two, we are incredibly excited to start this new chapter! In other news, we made an appearance at the club fair where we had a record number of signups for our information meeting last week! If you weren’t able to make it to the fair and/or meeting and would like more information, please keep in touch with us via Instagram: @scuwlax. We are also thrilled for this weekend where we will be meeting many of our alumni either through an alumni game or breakfast. We are so excited for the upcoming season and about the many girls who showed interest in joining our team! Tryouts will be the week of October 15, so much more exciting news to come. Hiiiii Broncos! We are so excited to be back playing soccer and hanging out. We just had tryouts this past week and it was so nice to meet all the amazing players that came out to play. Our first game is on Sunday, October 19 against Stanford and we are HYPED to start competing. If anyone is interested and does not know about tryouts feel free to email me at cmlowe@scu.edu. This will be a great quarter as we plan to grow as a team, bond, win A TON of games, and enjoy playing a sport we love.

Hello Broncos! My name is Ella Morey, and I’m a Senior at Santa Clara University as well as the President of Women’s Ultimate Frisbee! We’re looking forward to an amazing season ahead with our first tournament in Chico on Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19.

We’ve got a great rookie class this year, but don’t fret if you’re still interested in joining. We’re still recruiting, and no experience is necessary. We’ll teach you everything you need to know. I promise we’re a friendly group, and you don’t need to be nervous about coming out to practice.
