Windows 11

Product Information

Microsoft Windows 11 was released on October 5, 2021. Technology Support Services has tested Windows 11 with our "standard" software to ensure it is compatible.

Please view the Introducing Windows 11 web page for more information about Windows 11.

Recommendation

Microsoft Windows 11 is supported by Academic Technology / Technology Support Services.

Academic Technology / Technology Support Services also supports Microsoft Windows 10.

Please note that the version of Windows 10 we use on SCU-owned computers cannot be upgraded to Windows 11. Additionally, Dell computers older than a couple of years old cannot run Windows 11 due to the hardware requirements of the operating system.

As with any major OS upgrade, we recommend you back up your data before you upgrade.
