Scholarships/Financial Aid
The Department of Theatre and Dance offers merit based scholarships specific to Theatre Arts majors, which are grants that help offset tuition costs. Scholarship expectations include continued participation in the department’s production program (acting/dance/tech/design/stage management) or other department activities each quarter; a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the Theatre Arts major and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
The scholarship application form for the next academic year is available in November and applications are accepted on a rolling basis, up to and including Prevew Days the following April. Auditions are submitted online with group workshops and interviews/in-person auditions for these scholarships being held in Mayer Theatre during Preview Days. Awards will be made after Acceptance of admission into SCU/Preview Days.
NOTE: Auditions are NOT required to declare a Theatre and Dance major.
