    Learn how today's unchecked plastic pollution (yes, we all participate in creating this problem) harms the planet, affects the lives, health, and options of today's youth, and accelerates ecological degradation. Understand astroturf and single use plastic bans as a justice issue, what today's youth, schools, and child advocates are doing about plastics, and what you can do about it!

    Join SCU alum Makena Wong, whose experience at OneShoreline, otherwise known as the San Mateo County Flood and Sea Level Resiliency District, and work helping communities envision the promise and perils of adapting to sea level rise, will inform us about the coastal futures in our own backyards. Enjoy learning about Makena's career path from Santa Clara University to her climate work in the world.
