What Are Reasonable Accommodations?
Reasonable accommodations are changes, modifications, or adjustments that remove barriers and provide equal access for individuals with disabilities. They are determined individually and designed to meet the individual's needs without altering essential job duties or academic requirements.
- Employees: Reasonable accommodations consist of adjustments to the work environment or how work is performed so individuals can carry out essential job functions and access equal employment opportunities.
- Students: Reasonable accommodations consist of adjustments that ensure equal access to courses, programs, and activities while maintaining academic standards.
- Visitors & Guests: Reasonable accommodations consist of modifications that provide equal access to University events, programs, and services.
