Why I chose SCU:I decided to transfer to Santa Clara University because every time I set foot on campus I felt right at home. The hospitality that I would receive from student, staff, and alumni made me feel that this was the right place for me to grow and receive the best education.

Why I chose SCU: I heard great things about the Computer Science program at SCU, on top of that, the location of SCU made it perfect for my intended major. Furthermore, I connected with other Latinx students who are/were studying either Computer Science or any other Engineering careers at SCU, so they told me about the amazing connections you are able to build with professors and all the great resources offered to students who are first generation.
As a part of the Office of Student Life, the Office for Multicultural Learning is committed to promoting social justice, building bridges across diverse communities, and celebrating differences of students at Santa Clara University. In addition, we advocate for historically underrepresented populations and educate the whole person within the context of Jesuit values.
The Office for Diversity and Inclusion works collaboratively with organizations across campus to foster the University's commitment to the education of the whole person in the Jesuit tradition through support for the recruitment, retention, and success of a diverse community of faculty, staff and students, and through collaborations with other offices to promote academic excellence through a diverse and inclusive campus climate.
The LEAD Scholars Program is a program for first-generation college students (students whose parents did not graduate from a 4-year college or university) focused on academic success and community engagement. The LEAD Scholars Program provides academic and vocational development opportunities, supportive advising, peer mentoring, and community building through a variety of courses, programs, and support networks.
International students choose SCU for a term or year or for their full degree. Students tell us they appreciate SCU’s academic quality and opportunities to explore the liberal arts and sciences – even while they pursue a degree in an area like Business or Engineering.
The Center for Student Involvement provides students with a variety of ways to explore leadership opportunities, try new experiences, continue pursuing current interests, gain valuable skills, learn about themselves, and meet others.
We are here to help students in their transition to off campus living and to be a resource for those living in the local neighborhood.

For students of all majors and career goals, studying abroad sets the stage for learning and building connections for your future. Roughly 25% of SCU students study abroad for a quarter, semester or summer program.
The John B. Drahmann Academic Advising and Learning Resources Center serves as the central location for Core advising, as well as advising for Undeclared students. Every student is also assigned a faculty advisor from their academic department.
