Long-time professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance will partner with Detour Dance, a devised dance theater ensemble based in San Francisco, to kick off a new era of the Sinatra Residency
The Department of Art and Art History integrates theory with practice, providing students in studio art with a foundation in art history and art history students with practical experience in the process of making art.

Music has been a vital presence at SCU since 1851, when the University was founded. The Department of Music provides an intellectual and stimulating artistic environment fostering individual expression and creativity through the study of music and musical performance.
Found within the Communication Department, this program teaches visual expression skills in the interpretation and production of documentary, fiction, and experimental films. Students learn from filmmakers and scholars who integrate their teaching, creative work, and scholarship.
