TM Financial Forensics
John L. Hansen is a Vice President and founding member of TM Financial Forensics, LLC (“TMF”), a nation business and litigation consulting company providing business, management and litigation consulting services to companies in a variety of industries. Over his 27 year consulting career, John has consulted with companies on economic, accounting, valuation and damages issues in a wide variety of industries, such as semiconductors, software, consumer electronics, licensed merchandise, and medical devices, as examples.
John has analysed the profitability of hundreds of companies over the last two decades in a variety of circumstances, including: mergers and acquisitions, breach of contract, class action, employment, intellectual property infringement, antitrust and fraud investigations. He has particular expertise in the valuation, licensing and determination of infringement damages for intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, trade secrets and copyrights. John has testified as an expert on financial and economic damages issues in Federal and State courts across the country. He has also assisted clients with investigations before the United States International Trade Commission (“ITC”) and has testified as an expert in the ITC addressing the impact of unfair competition on U.S. markets.
Prior to TMF, John was a Director at Navigant Consulting and a Vice President at Tucker Alan Inc. where he was a leader of Tucker Alan’s national intellectual property practice. John obtained his Bachelor of Science in Commerce, degree in Finance and minor in Economics from Santa Clara University in 1989. John holds several professional certifications and is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified in Financial Forensics, a Certified Licensing Professional, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
