Since graduating from Santa Clara in 2012 with a major in Accounting, Tori Hack has spent her entire career working at EY in downtown San Jose. She started her career in the financial audit practice supporting Fortune 100 technology clients. Shortly into her career, she learned about the firm’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) practice and after enjoying a successful rotation, decidedly transferred to the CCaSS group. At that time, now over 12 years ago, CCaSS was a team of less than 25 in the US, and Tori has been instrumental to its growth to now 350+ professionals in the US, and 3,000+ globally. As a Partner within the practice, Tori serves as the CCaSS Technology Leader, as well as the Bay Area’s Sustainability Assurance and Advisory Leader, supporting dozens of large multinational clients.

During her time at Santa Clara, Tori quickly found her passion for both accounting and sustainability. She served as the accounting and business lead for the 2009 Solar Decathlon house (still stationed on campus behind Malley Center), was a leader for Leavey’s Peer Advisor program, and excelled as part of the Accelerated Cooperative Education (ACE) honors program. She was further recognized for her accounting performance by receiving the Professor O. Robert Anderson Outstanding Student in Accounting Award.

As an alumni, Tori has been consistently active within the SCU community. She has served on the Accounting Alumni Board since its inception, which has included guest lecturing on sustainability accounting for ACTG162, and serving as a panelist during Accounting Information Nights. She is also an active member on Santa Clara’s Board of Fellows, focused on raising funds for student scholarships and on-going university projects.

Tori and her husband Steffen (SCU Class of 2011) live nearby in Willow Glen. They love to travel, and when not exploring, they are likely tending to their extensive vegetable garden and trying out new recipes. Steffen serves on the Bronco Bench’s Board of Trustees, and they often enjoy visits back to SCU to attend sporting events.
