Sophomore Accounting/A&IS Career Fair
The Accounting Department hosted its annual Sophomore Accounting/A&IS Career Fair on Tuesday, February 16, and Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 6:30-8:30 PM, virtually via Zoom. Due to COVID-19 precautions, the entire event was online. The virtual career fair included an open house session from 6:30-7:00 PM during which students could visit any firm of their choice, followed by six 15-minute meetings in which students could meet with firms for either one-on-one and/or small group discussions.
Over 60 students registered and received individual schedules for the two-day fair, in addition to receiving a booklet of firm flyers and online professionalism tips provided by the Accounting Association. The Accounting Association also hosted a Zoom room each night to answer firm and student questions that might arise during the event. Sixteen firms attended, with eight firms attending on each day of the career fair:

Each firm created an online platform that it could use to interact with students. Most used Zoom, though some used other platforms. The Accounting Department sent links form the 16 platforms to each student who registered for the event that night. During open house (or at their appointed meeting times), students would click on the link to enter the firm’s communication site.
