Mark Weiner is a Professor of Practice in the Marketing department, and has been the chief marketing officer at eight different startups. He leverages 25+ years of corporate and marketing leadership to create courses that teach real-life strategy and practical approaches to applying the marketing discipline.
Weiner has an MBA from Santa Clara University, where he is a Leavey School advisory board member, and a Bachelors from UC Berkeley's Haas Business School.
Weiner has served as VP/SVP of Marketing at several highly innovative technology companies including Versa Networks (top VC funded), cloud storage vendor StorSimple (acquired by Microsoft), cloud network provider Virtela (acquired by NTT Japan), and application delivery pioneer NetScaler (acquired by Citrix). Weiner also led marketing for $1 billion of data center products across multiple Cisco business units. Earlier in his career he spent several years in telecommunications, serving as VP of Marketing at Redback Networks.
