Vito Cormun joined the Leavey School of Business in Fall 2020 as an Assistant Professor of Economics. His areas of interest include macroeconomics, international macroeconomics and finance. His research concerns the sources of business cycles in both open and closed economies. He shows how simple classifications and identifications of sources of business cycles can shed light on the connection between economic expansions and recessions, and on the nature of exchange rate fluctuations. He received a PH.D and MA in Economics from Boston College, and a MS and BS in Economics from Bocconi University.
