Satoshi Fukuda joined the Leavey School of Business in the Fall of 2025 as an Assistant Professor of Economics. He received his Ph.D in Economics from the  University of California at Berkeley, and received a BA and MA in Policy Studies from Chuo University (Tokyo, Japan).
Professor Fukuda specializes in microeconomics, economic theory, game theory, organizational economics, information economics, and financial economics.  His articles have appeared in leading academic journals in microeconomics and economic theory, such as American Economic Journal: Microeconomics and  Journal of Economic Theory. He is an associate editor of International Journal of Economic Theory
Professor Fukuda came to Santa Clara from Bocconi University (Milan, Italy) where he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Decision Sciences.
