Dr. George Chacko is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business, where he has taught for nineteen years. His research interests span capital markets, with particular emphasis on the microstructure of financial markets, financial security design, and the management of financial institutions including banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, and private equity funds.
Professor Chacko has maintained parallel careers in academia and industry throughout his professional life. He currently heads Confluentis Investments Pte Ltd, a family office focused on public and private investments globally.
Before joining Santa Clara, Professor Chacko served as Assistant and Associate Professor of Finance at Harvard Business School.
He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Business Economics from Harvard University, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
