Dr. Yaqiong Wang joined the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University in September 2020 as an Assistant Professor in the department of Information Systems & Analytics (ISA).
Dr. Wang’s research studies span multiple disciplines including information systems, computer science and marketing. Her research projects explore how to apply data analytics to identify user behavior patterns and facilitate business decision making. Her research interests include recommender systems with a focus on addressing some existing challenges in this field; machine learning, more specifically, adaptation and evaluation of predictive analytics for intelligent decision support; retailer channel management, especially problems regarding online-offline channel synergy, online review analysis, etc. Dr. Wang has a number of papers related to her
research interests and is in preparation for paper submissions to peer-reviewed journals. She has also been invited to present her works at major information systems (IS) conferences and workshops such as CIST, WISE, WITS, WCBA, etc.
Dr. Wang earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. She also holds degrees from Beihang University in Management Science and Engineering (MS) and Management of Information Systems (BS).
She serves frequently as a reviewer for top IS conferences (International Conference on Information Systems since 2017, Conference on Information Systems and Technology since 2018, Workshop on Information Technologies and Systems since 2017, European Conference on Information Systems since 2018) and Journals (Information Systems Research since 2019, Information Science since 2020).
