Dr. Vyas Sreenivas is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business. He earned his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. Before entering academia, Dr. Sreenivas spent over a decade in the industry, working as a programmer and later as an early-stage investor supporting startups in the financial services sector—experiences that continue to shape his research and teaching.
Dr. Sreenivas’s research sits at the intersection of entrepreneurship and strategy, with a focus on the micro-foundations of entrepreneurial action and the contextual forces that drive innovation and social impact. He is particularly interested in how entrepreneurship can be harnessed to address complex societal challenges. In his role as the inaugural B Lab Research Fellow, he brings research into practice by examining how certifications like B Corp help socially-driven startups raise funding and create meaningful impact.
