Why did you apply to the ACE Program?
In addition to wanting a place to develop my professional skills and put theory into practice, I also wanted to meet people who are similarly driven and passionate about the things they do!
Being on the quarter system, it's so rare to meet a consistent group across different majors and interests where you can mutually support one another and grow together for four years. Having that shared experience not only allows for more meaningful connections with my peers, but also makes it so much easier to connect with other ACE cohort members and find mentorship. It's an awesome community and I really enjoyed being in it.
What other Organizations are you a part of
- President - SCU INFORMS
- Lead TA for BUSN70
- VP of Marketing ISN
- Project Manager GetVirtual
- UHP, Leavey Scholars, Beta Gamma Sigma
What is one piece of advice you would give a Leavey Student?
Be out there and find opportunities to meet people with different majors / collaborate on interdisciplinary projects! Pick up a fun minor or go watch a theater show - It's fascinating how well connected the university is and you'll never know what you might find.
Summer Plans:
This summer I will be an operations intern at the Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship working on data analysis and visualizations for an educational institution. Last summer I was a digital marketing intern at Teamlink (proptech company) in Sydney, Australia where I worked on some social media posts as well as CRM automations with their data team.
What are some of your hobbies and career interests?
Professionally wise I'm very interested in the tech industry and have participated in some related programs at SCU (e.g. Possible & Bay Area Immersion). Currently I'm hoping to work in the sector of information systems or a data analytics related field.
I'm also a huge photography enthusiast! I shoot photos for our Redwood Yearbook and The Santa Clara and I really enjoy how my job takes me to places where I wouldn't usually go on campus. I also love traveling and watching anime.
Fun Fact: I used to own two turtles and I named one of them after a girl on my middle school swim team and another after a giant cannon.
