Accounting Major

What are you doing this summer? I rolled forward workpapers and completed form preparation for over 5 corporate returns, becoming familiar with the internal systems. I also conducted tax research on specific international taxes to be put in questionnaires, supporting PwC’s international tax consulting. I collaborated with a team of 20 to analyze financial data and optimize tax strategies for the client’s satisfaction.

Hopefully you’ve grown both professionally and personally from this summer experience. Name one or two “life” lessons you learned and will carry forward after graduation.  Make sure to set boundaries with personal life and things that will give me happiness even during the busy times. I saw on my team people that excelled at this skill, that they were more productive and happier with their job/team.

What has been the most memorable part of your experience? Being able to interact with everyone in the office and be able to work on so many different clients.

What advice would you give to younger students who are searching for summer opportunities?
Search early and try for everything you are interested in, because you never know what you will end up wanting to pursue as a career.
