What are you doing this summer? This summer I was a Product Marketing Intern at Workday! My team is in charge of the Workday Student SIS product, which we use here at Santa Clara University.
What has been the most memorable part of your experience? I've really enjoyed the aspect of collaborating with many different teams across the business along with customers. Product marketers are at the center of the product, communicating with product managers, engineering, sales, customer experience, corporate marketing, and many more. Getting to know so many individuals within the company as part of my intern role was a fun experience!
One thing you have learned during this summer experience? If you see an opportunity to connect with someone or ask a valuable question, do it! Typically adults love helping college students further their careers and understand the industry they're in. For example, I took a leap and asked someone within the C-Suite for a coffee chat and they said yes, letting me experience a fantastic conversation with impactful advice.
