What are you doing this summer? I spent this summer interning at the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC), as an SCU Valeriote Goldman Public Health Leadership Fellow. This opportunity allowed me to gain a first-hand perspective within a small non-profit organization and helped me learn more about key processes within an organization such as Contracts/Grant Review and New Employee Onboarding. During this internship, I focused on sorting years worth of SVBC data and automating key processes using Box Relay.

 

What has been the most memorable part of your experience? My favorite part of this experience was virtually attending the 2021 Silicon Valley Bicycle Summit, which was attended many interesting speakers from various backgrounds in the private and public sector. There was also an amazing session where we got to hear from individuals around the world (Netherlands, India, Germany, Mexico, etc.) on how their respective cities have adopted bike safety measures!
