Meet Your Summer Peer Advisors

Meet the LSB Summer Peer Advisors

The Leavey School of Business Peer Advisors are trained upper-division students who work with first year students on course selection and registering for classes. Peer Advisors are hosting one on one appointments on what classes to take fall quarter, online resources, and answer any questions related to registration. Email us at lsb-peeradvisor@scu.edu or book an online appointment starting in July here. Please note, peer advisor availability will be updated in the coming weeks.

Sabrina Chu is a second-year business student originally from Taipei, Taiwan. She is majoring in Management Information Systems and minoring in Business Analytics. Apart from being an Leavey Peer Advisor, she is involved with SCU Information System and Analytic Student Network Club (ISN) and SCU Ski & Snowboard Club. She is also a student worker at the Bannan Alumni House.

What is one piece of advice you would offer to incoming first-year students?  Your classwork is your responsibility, but having fun is also your responsibility! Finding balance is key to making the most of your time here.

What are some of your hobbies and/or interests? I love skiing, cooking, and exploring new places/restaurants with friends.

Victoria Zhang is a sophomore business student from the Bay Area, majoring in Finance and minoring in Real Estate. Apart from being a Leavey Peer Advisor, she’s also a Community Facilitator (CF) in Sobrato, where she loves creating a positive, inclusive space for first-year students. Whether it’s hosting events, helping residents navigate college life, or just being someone to talk to, she’s always happy to help!

What is one piece of advice you would offer to incoming first-year students?
Say yes to new experiences — especially in your first year! Go to that club meeting, talk to the person sitting next to you in class, and don’t stress if things don’t go perfectly. You’ll figure it out as you go, and some of the best memories (and friends!) come from the most unexpected moments.

What are some of your hobbies and/or interests?  I love painting (even if it gets a little messy), hiking new trails, and finding cute spots around campus or downtown to relax and recharge. I’m always down for an art session or a spontaneous outdoor adventure!

Bernice Kwan is a incoming sophomore Marketing major from San Jose, California. Apart from being a Summer Leavey Peer Advisor, she is involved with the Chinese Student Association and Women in Business on campus.

What is one piece of advice you would offer to incoming first-year students?  Be open to change! College is a time for exploration, both academically and personally so you don't need to have it all figured out right away. College is the perfect time to explore new interests, take different classes and see what truly excites you to discover the right path for yourself!

What are some of your hobbies and/or interests?  In my free time I enjoy ice skating, running, painting, and going to the beach and watching sunsets.

Shreya Dusankar is a rising sophomore business student from Sunnyvale, California. She is an Management Information Systems (MIS) major and Entrepreneurship and Graphic Design minors. Apart from been a Leavey Peer Advisor, Shreya is involved with INFORMS, Intandesh, Student Advisory Board, Ciocca Center Innovation Fellows, and Ciocca Center Mindset Scholars.

What is one piece of advice you would offer to incoming first-year students? One piece of advice is to get involved in as many opportunities that interest you and branch out and explore new things. There are so many wonderful opportunities around campus you may enjoy and exploring new opportunities and engaging in different experiences is an amazing way to meet new people and develop your passion.

What are some of your hobbies and/or interests?  I love to dance, watch movies, read, and watch soccer. I'm also a music lover and enjoy exploring and listening to new genres.

Amy Nguyen is a senior with a Management and Entrepreneurship major and real estate minor from San Jose, California. She is one of the costume assistants and designers on campus for the Costume Shop at the Mayer Theatre. In the 2025-2026 academic year, she will be working as a Leavey Community Fellow for Santa Clara County.

What is one piece of advice you would offer to incoming first-year students?  I believe that every first-year student should come on campus with a fresh and open mind. There are so many opportunities, whether it’s with your peers, professors, groups, clubs, etc, for everyone to explore and see. Embrace any chances that come up, ask questions, and seize the moment.

What are some of your hobbies and/or interests?  In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my friends! My hobbies include playing video games, sewing, playing the drums, and weightlifting. My interests include fashion, event-organizing, and studying Japanese.
