Networking 101

Master essential networking skills to boost your internship or job search journey! Assistant Director, Shauna Strauss will be joined by an Early Careers Business Recruiter at Bloomberg LP to share their expertise when it comes to the power of networking!  Registration is limited, so register in Handshake quickly.  

What you can expect:

• 1hr of formal content sharing and workshopping (12:00pm-1:00pm), plus an additional 30min of optional workshopping time (1:00pm-1:30pm) with multiple staff member support.
• Learn how to craft a powerful elevator pitch
• Learn how to discover points of commonality with new connections
• Be prepared for the STEM (10/2) and/or the BASH Career Fairs (10/16) and master having a conversation with a recruiter or hiring manager.
• Hear from a recruiter's perspective on networking and gain advice on interacting with employers.
• Master using LinkedIn and Bronco Exchange as networking power tools
