Students in the Graduate Programs in Pastoral Ministries can earn a Master of Arts degree. The degree requirements consist of sixty quarter units which are made up of fifteen four-unit classes. Eight of the fifteen courses are required foundational courses. For students enrolled in one of our emphases, the remaining seven courses include 4-5 emphasis courses and 4 or 3 elective courses; for all other students, the remaining seven classes are selected from a variety of elective courses.
In addition, each student is required to submit a capstone project by May 1 of their graduation year, either a portfolio of six course papers and an 8- to 10-page integrative essay, or, for the emphasis students, a ministry practicum.
To apply for the MA degree in Pastoral Ministries online, in-person, or in hybrid modalities you will need to complete an online application and submit specific materials directly to the Program.
