It's an exciting time in the History Department!
Professor David Skinner and a handful of our best and brightest students ably represented the department at the university's Preview Day. On April 24th a number of our students are being initiated into Phi Alpha Theta (the national History honor society). Also in April, FOUR of our top students (Emma Chen, Victoria Juarez, Hector Navarro, Michelle Runyon) will present research papers at the regional Phi Alpha Theta conference at the University of Pacific. Professor Harry Odamtten is the faculty adviser who is fueling all this activity to foster and showcase the hard work and accomplishments of the students in Santa Clara's chapter of Phi Alpha Theta.
Sincerely,
Nancy Unger, Department Chair
