Chair's Note
This spring History faculty and students have been particularly active in publicizing the value of studying history and being a SCU history major or minor. Student co-editors, Sean Chamberlain and Bianca Romero, contributed to a SCU website story on Historical Perspectives, the History Department's award-winning undergraduate research journal. At Preview Day, students and faculty showcased the journal, talked with prospective students and their parents both one-on-one as well as in two group sessions, and introduced new creative posters about the skills that history students learn as well as what some recent alumni are doing.
History faculty and students also organized the first ever “History Today” (see below for more information). As we move into the final weeks of spring quarter, we look forward to celebrating this year's graduating seniors and student accomplishments.
