Dear College Faculty and Staff,
What a week! We have had our Fall Convocation, the President's Convocation, major awards at both celebrations, and a lot of back-to-school events for students and their parents.
It really does feel like a new year, equal parts daunting and thrilling; these last two weeks have seen both emotions played out on your faces…and Monday the 19th is soon upon us!
For now, I want to reiterate my appreciation and congratulations to faculty and staff award winners, they're listed below. I also want to re-extend a warm welcome to the nearly 20 TT/RTLs and 61 AYAL/QALs joining us this fall; what an amazing community of Teacher-Scholars.
Having seen so many of you at these events, I am hoping to continue our conversations and deepen our working relationships. So, I hope to see you in department meetings, workshops, events and informal brainstorming sessions before too long.
If you are especially stressed this weekend before classes start, optimum medicamentum quies est (rest is the best medicine)!
