Dear College Faculty and Staff,
It’s that time of year again! After a long but fruitful hiring season, I am happy to introduce the newest faculty who will be joining our ranks.
Come September 1, we will welcome to campus 14 tenured or tenure track faculty, four lecturers, and a visiting professor across ten of our departments. One of our tenure track faculty was hired last year but delayed her start to this year; another hired this year will delay his start until Fall 2024.
Seven of these faculty members make up the second cohort in our Race, Inequality, and Social Justice cluster hire, along with one post-doc hired in Women’s and Gender Studies. Representing the departments of Anthropology, English (2), Political Science, Psychology, Public Health, Religious Studies, and Women’s and Gender Studies, these faculty will meet twice per quarter to support their scholarly/creative work, discuss strategies for faculty success, build their on-campus network, and connect to key resources on campus. In addition, they’ll have opportunities for community building and networking with the first cohort of seven who entered in 2022.
Please join me in welcoming these wonderful new colleagues as they transition to Santa Clara!
Daniel
