Be Empowered through Design Thinking @ Idea Lab  - the SCU Community of graduate and undergraduate students, alumni, faculty and staff are ALL invited to attend the Bronco Ventures Idea Lab, an experiential program focused on the core concepts of design thinking, customer-centered problem analysis to Ideation and the Pitch!

Idea Lab is held as quarterly Saturday workshops. The workshop will provide the attendees with the tools and techniques to empathize with the customers, deeply understand their pain points, generate human-centered solutions, and test the feasibility of potential solutions. The content presented in these modules leverages the core concepts of design thinking to empower students with the skills to define, approach, and solve problems in a creative manner, and complements technical content presented in a wide variety of courses.

Upon completion, attendees will receive a digital certificate and badge.

Idea Lab is free and lunch will be provided.

Each module meets for a 4 - 6 hour Saturday workshop. The ideation module is offered during the Fall and Winter quarters, and the pitching module is offered during the Spring quarter.

No, Idea Lab is completely free.

The ideation module will help the participants design a business idea, which they can use to apply to the Bronco Ventures' more advanced Prep School and further develop their ideas into start-ups with the help of the Bronco Ventures network. Beyond Prep School, participants can then apply to the Bronco Venture Accelerator, where they will have the opportunity to receive funding for their start-up.

While Idea Lab is designed for first-time founders and very early-stage businesses, later-stage businesses are welcome to attend as well. The principles and sessions are valuable for any founder.

Idea Lab takes place every quarter. Be on the lookout for registration dates on our website, as spaces fill up quickly!
