Fr. Julian serves as the Campus Minister for Liturgy and Music, blending his passion for sacred music with Catholic worship. Born in Cebu, Philippines, and raised in Los Angeles, California, he joined the Society of Jesus in 2004 after several years of practicing as a registered nurse in various clinical settings. A classically trained pianist and vocalist, he has spent over thirty years enriching liturgical worship through music, as cantor, accompanist, and director. During his Jesuit formation, he taught high school theology and choral music while coordinating music for province-wide liturgies, including ordinations and vows. After his ordination, Fr. Julian served as a parochial vicar in the Archdiocese of Seattle and later as a vocation promoter for the USA West Province of the Society of Jesus. He enjoys hiking, exploring Wine Country, and listening to live music.
