Rostro de Cristo invites recent college graduates to spend one year living in communities on the margins of the large urban area of Guayaquil, Ecuador. During this year, volunteers live in intentional Christian community, focus on living simply, develop spiritually, offer hospitality to visiting retreat groups, and serve in a variety of ministry site placements. These placements include education, mentoring, healthcare, social work, community outreach, and pastoral ministry. Volunteers also practice a ministry of accompaniment in their local neighborhoods allowing them to witness and be witness to the Gospel. These experiences inspire and reinforce a lifelong commitment to a faith that practices solidarity and works for justice throughout the world.
