This course introduces health concepts, skills, and behaviors important for today’s students to make informed choices. Upon completion of the course, candidates will be able to gather, interpret, evaluate, and use health information and topics in their future activities as teachers. It is a fast-paced course and includes written assignments and discussion board posts. No books are required; all resources can be accessed through the online portal.
Please note that registration typically closes 10 days before the course start date. Five days before the start date, registered candidates will receive an emailed link and must accept the course invitation by the course start date.
This course requires some prior knowledge on lesson planning and common core standards. It is not recommended that you take this course at the beginning of your teaching preparation program.
No candidates will be admitted after the course start date due to the fast-paced nature of the program.
