Planning, paying for, and implementing quality teacher professional development (TPD) is difficult and growing more challenging each year.
The old ways don’t work (here’s why), so over 20 years ago, our project team began to test a new model. We implemented it in the MALLI project, documented our work, and decided it would be a good idea to share our work with other educators (for free!).
Our TPD model, which can be applied in any content, grade level, or context, builds on the success of lesson study and combines it with video club. Here’s what it looks like and here’s what you need to do to get started. If you’d like to read the research article documenting LSVC, here it is.
