Credential Services

The Credential Services Office provides all credential information and serves as a resource for the department and students.
A Credential Analyst will advise you on all credential requirements, monitor your progress towards obtaining your credential, will verify credential program completion and will make the final credential recommendation to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). If you have any questions regarding credentials please email: credentials@scu.edu.

The Office of Student Services is responsible for program degree audits and credential recommendations. Candidates may petition for credential upon completion of all coursework and credential specific requirements by submitting the ECP Petition for Credential form.

Petition for Credentials are automatically sent to ECP Credential Services upon submitting the completed form. Once the request is received, the Credential Analyst reviews the candidates transcript to ensure that all required coursework listed on the program plan was successfully completed. Once grades are confirmed, the Analyst reviews all additional documentation (as listed in the appropriate checklist below) to ensure that all CTC requirements are met for the credential that the candidate is requesting. The final piece before the recommendation is complete is the review of the TPA list to ensure that teaching credential candidates have successfully completed this requirement.

Credential Candidates: Select the appropriate checklist for the program you have completed and submit all required documents on the checklist by uploading them to the ECP Petition for Credential form.
