Program of Studies (PS)

The Program of Studies (POS) is a required form for all graduate engineering students. It serves as an academic planning tool that outlines the courses you intend to take throughout your master’s program, along with your expected graduation date.

Students are required to submit:

  • An initial POS during their first quarter in the program.
  • A final POS during their final quarter, reflecting any updates or changes.

Both versions must be completed in consultation with your academic advisor and signed by both you and your advisor. Your POS is used to update your Academic Progress Report and graduation timeline in Workday. If your course plan changes during the program, we recommend submitting an updated POS as soon as possible.

Note: If your course plan changes at any time during the program, you must submit an updated POS form, signed by your academic advisor.

Submit your initial POS to Mariam Aiyed at maiyed@scu.edu, or gradengineer@scu.edu.
Submit your updated and final POS form to Lisa Lanks at lisa.lanks@scu.edu.
Or deliver forms in person to the Heafey Graduate Offices (Rooms 240–243).
