Al-Agtash, Salem

Biography

Salem Al-Agtash got his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1998. He is a teaching assistant professor of Computer Science and Engineering and an experienced technology advisor and consultant. His current teaching experience is in computer networks, operating systems, and programming.

His current research focuses on Smart Microgrids, Agent Systems, and SPADE (Smart Python Agent Development Environment). He has published 54 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences with 700 citations, 16 Google Scholar i10-index, and a 394.9 RI score.

His industrial experience has been in technology development and consulting. As a technical advisor and consultant, Dr. Al-Agtash has worked on several projects funded by the European Commission, including, Africa-connect, EUMed-Connect, EUmed-Grid, Chain, Magic, and Osscom.
