Biography
Dr. Amouzgar received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He worked in the industry for more than a decade, mostly in Telecom and Software Engineering fields. He received his master’s degree in Software Engineering from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. In 2009, he decided to pursue his PhD in Electrical Engineering. His main PhD research focused on using silicon nanostructures to improve the efficiency and to lower the fabrication cost of silicon-based solar cells and sensors. He received his PhD degree in 2013 from Concordia University. He is currently an adjunct lecturer at the computer engineering department at Santa Clara University (SCU).
