Biography
Murat Baday is a distinguished data scientist and academic with a Ph.D. in Biophysics and Computational Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Currently based in Palo Alto, California, he holds significant experience in bioengineering, AI, and healthcare technology. He has worked in leading research roles at Stanford University in bioengineering, radiology, and neurology, developing cutting-edge diagnostic and AI-powered healthcare solutions. Dr. Baday is a co-founder of successful startups, including Smartlens, which developed a microfluidics-embedded contact lens for glaucoma management, and Nanoeye, which created portable diagnostic devices.
With over 30 supervised students and numerous publications, his research spans DNA mapping technologies, machine learning in medical imaging, and remote monitoring technologies. As a prominent educator, Dr. Baday has taught machine learning, bioengineering, and data science at Santa Clara University, Stanford University School of Medicine, and Magnimind Academy. His expertise includes advanced programming skills in Python, Matlab, and C++, and he holds multiple patents for medical diagnostic technologies.
