Nearly 40 (35 percent female!) faculty, post-docs, PhD candidates, master’s and undergraduate students shared their research in bioengineering, computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, mechanical engineering, and web design and engineering! Best Ph.D Poster Presentation

Title: Applications of Adaptive Navigation of Multirobot Clusters. Preliminary research into practical applications of adaptive navigation of multirobot clusters, using a state machine architecture.
Best Undergraduate Poster Presentation (TIE)
Zachary Baron and Richard Senegor, advised by Dr. Cary Yang, Electrical Engineering
Title: Carbon Nanotubes on Graphene – Interfacial and Electrical Properties for 3D Structures. Investigation of the viability of using carbon nanotubes grown on graphene as a functional alternative to copper and tungsten in integrated circuits.
Tim Shur (COEN and Mathematics), advised by Dr. Aaron Melman, Applied Mathematics
Title: A Quantitative Survey of Improvements to Bounds on Eigenvalues. 45 problems from the NLEVP collection were used to quantitatively test two recent improvements to the generalized bounds from Cauchy and Pellet. These results substantiate the improvements and justify their use in practical applications.
The Dean's Award for best departmental representation of research was shared among all participating departments, to include Applied Mathematics, Bio-engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
