Silhouette Cameo, Silhouette Curio, and Heat Press
The Silhouette Cameo is a cutting machine for making vinyl stickers, heat transfer t-shirts, working with cardstock, etc. The Silhouette Curio is a cutting machine that is also capable of stippling and embossing. The Heat Press is used for applying heat transfer vinyl to fabric. In the Maker Lab we have a Silhouette Cameo3 machine, three Silhouette Cameo4 machines, and a Silhouette Curio.

Materials for Silhouette Cameo and Curio: Cardstock, adhesive vinyl, heat transfer vinyl, chipboard, and more.
File Types: dxf, or trace images in software (jpg, tiff, bmp, gif, png)
Material Fees: We have rolls of adhesive vinyl available for standard use. We sell heat transfer vinyl in the Maker Store. You can also bring your own materials in to use.
Common Terminology: Weeding- the process of removing the excess material after the machine has cut the design; Stippling- the process of drawing or engraving using numerous small dots; Embossing/Debossing- the process of creating raised or recessed images in the paper and other materials
