The Advisory Board provides ideas and counsel from an independent perspective, assists in planning and fundraising, and enhances communication between the Center and its external constituencies. Denise Melone ’06 graduated from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science in marketing. Melone has worked in healthcare advertising for more than 15 years, with experience in both client management and strategic development across the board in multiple disease areas in both the patient and healthcare provider spaces.
Nancy Reynolds retired as a Principal in Investcorp’s Technology Investment Group where she served as CFO and Investor Relations Coordinator. Reynolds spent 20 years working at Investcorp and has also become an active community member in her town, serving on many boards and committees.
John Shoven is the Charles R. Schwab Professor of Economics, Emeritus at Stanford University and served as the director of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research from 1999 to September 2015, where he is also a senior fellow and the Chair, Emeritus of the Steering Committee, senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, fellow at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research.
Marty Skrip is a retired KPMG LLP senior corporate tax partner, having served multinational companies in the Bay Area. He also served as an accounting firm executive at two other international accounting firms. Skrip has extensive board experience in higher education.
