This year’s Hackworth Fellows completed comprehensive and vital projects that focused on heightening campus ethics awareness in a variety of areas. Following are four projects currently highlighted on our website:
Shane Hughes ‘20 interviewed his Hackworth Fellow colleagues to explore student perspectives on COVID-19, particularly their views on how society, communal, and personal values have been affected.
Mariana Perera ‘20 developed a series of articles (published as part of COVID-19: Ethics, Health and Moving Forward Spotlight) and a student-focused website offering new voters resources on the key ethical issues associated with the upcoming 2020 presidential election.
Sahil Sagar ‘20 researched what the ethics of future employment will look like. The purpose was to help students gain insight on the ethics of building a career, by exploring both the perspective of the employer during the hiring process as well as the candidate viewpoint in the
job search.
Katya Keklikian ‘21 reflects on what it means to be an SCU graduating student during the pandemic. She shares insights and tips on how those entering the job market can best navigate their future career paths through the lens of SCU's “3 C’s”: Competence, Conscience, and Compassion.
